Frequently asked questions

What is EO Forum?

EO Forum is a small, trusted group of EO members that meets regularly to share experiences and support each other in both business and personal matters. Meetings are held in complete confidentiality and aim at personal and professional growth through experience sharing rather than advising. The forum offers a structured meeting format that facilitates effective discussion and helps build strong relationships among members.

How many forums are currently in our EO Poland chapter?

As of September 2024, we had 5 forums for members and 2 forums for LP / SLP (life partners / spouse life partners).

What is an EO Forum for LP / SLP?

The LP (Life Partners) or SLP (Spouse/Life Partners) Forum within the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is a special forum group created for the life partners of EO members, such as spouses or partners. The goal of these forums is to provide a space where the life partners of EO members can share their experiences, challenges, and support one another, much like EO members do in their own forums.

What are the roles in the leadership of local EO chapters?

In local chapters of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), the leadership team typically consists of several key roles that help manage, organize events, and support members. Here are the most common roles in the leadership teams of local EO chapters:

  1. President – responsible for the overall direction of the chapter, managing activities, and representing the local community at the global level. The president often leads board meetings and oversees the chapter's strategy execution.
  2. Learning Chair – responsible for planning and coordinating educational programs and training events for chapter members, aiming to support the professional and personal development of entrepreneurs.
  3. Membership Chair – responsible for recruiting new members, managing the application process, and ensuring a high-quality experience for members in the organization. They also focus on member retention.
  4. Forum Chair – manages EO forums, which are small support groups for members. The Forum Chair ensures that every member has access to appropriate forums and that forum meetings are conducted according to EO guidelines.
  5. Finance Chair (Treasurer) – responsible for managing the chapter's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with EO's expenditure policies.
  6. Communications / Marketing Chair – handles the chapter's internal and external communications, including promoting events, managing the website and social media, and maintaining contact with members and the EO community.
  7. Strategic Alliances Chair / Partnership – responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with other organizations that can support EO's goals at the local level.
  8. Mentorship Chair – manages mentoring programs that connect experienced EO members with younger entrepreneurs to support their growth.
  9. Engagement Chair – responsible for supporting new members in integrating into the organization, ensuring they are active and engaged in chapter activities from the start.
  10. Past President – the former president, who serves as an advisor to the current board and may support the continuation of strategies and initiatives started during their tenure.
  11. Life Partners Chair – organizes events and programs for the life partners of EO members, supporting their engagement and helping balance personal and professional life for entrepreneurs.
  12. Governance Chair – oversees the chapter's compliance with EO policies and corporate governance principles, ensuring transparency and proper management.

Each EO chapter can tailor these roles to its local needs, but the overall goal remains the same: to support member growth through active leadership and event organization at the local level.

What are the requirements to become an EO member?

To become an EO member, one must be the owner, founder, or majority shareholder of a company that has achieved a minimum revenue of 1 million USD in the most recent fiscal year.

Venture capital-backed companies must have either privately raised at least 2 million USD or publicly raised at least 5 million USD, and they must employ a minimum of 10 people.

Additionally, each local chapter may have its own qualification criteria.

Who is the Chapter Manager?

A Chapter Manager in the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is a professional employee hired by the local chapter, whose task is to support the board and members in managing the organization's daily operations. The primary role of the Chapter Manager is to ensure the smooth functioning of the chapter, coordinate administrative activities, and provide logistical support for various initiatives and events.

Here are a few key responsibilities of the Chapter Manager:

  1. Administrative Support – managing documentation, correspondence, reports, and other operational aspects of the chapter. The Chapter Manager ensures that administrative processes run smoothly, allowing the board to focus on strategic tasks.
  2. Event Coordination – The Chapter Manager supports the organization of meetings, workshops, training sessions, and other events for EO members, handling logistical details such as venue, schedule, catering, participant registration, etc.
  3. Member Communication – responsible for maintaining contact with chapter members, informing them about upcoming events, news, and EO activities. The Chapter Manager may also handle member inquiries and needs.
  4. Support for the Board – The Chapter Manager works closely with the local chapter board, assisting in strategy execution, tracking progress, and preparing board meetings. They may also help manage the budget and prepare reports.
  5. Recruitment and Integration of New Members – The Chapter Manager supports the recruitment process for new members and helps them integrate into the organization, ensuring that new members receive the necessary information and are engaged in chapter life.
  6. Oversight of Partnerships – If the chapter collaborates with local businesses or strategic partners, the Chapter Manager may coordinate these relationships and ensure their proper functioning.

Thus, the Chapter Manager plays a crucial operational role in EO, enabling chapter leaders and members to focus on personal and business growth while organizational and administrative matters are effectively managed.
